Be careful, the camera can trick you. In this photograph from White Pocket, the body of water that looks like a lake is actually a small puddle just a few feet across. With a wide-angle lens, shooting low to the ground, plus standing in the puddle itself for the shot, the perspective is much different than what you would see at eye level with the focal length of human vision.
