As you can imagine, I shoot nightscapes at a lot of remote places. You never know what kind of critters are lurking in the dark, so it is always a bit of a nail biter. For this photograph, I had to get right up to the edge of the Grand Canyon and stay there for an eternity (okay...maybe 90 minutes or so...but still) while a howling wind tugged at me from different directions. I'd have to say getting this shot came with the highest pucker factor I've ever experienced while in the field.
